Zambia Under-17 Men’s Team kickoff COSAFA Title defense against Comoros Islands

  The Zambia Men’s Under-17 National Team will this afternoon begin its quest to defend the COSAFA Championship title with a Group B fixture against the Comoros Islands. Zambia coach George Chilufya says his technical bench has outlined straightforward objectives for the COSAFA outing which include starting off with a win. “The first game is always important in the tournament; we are not taking Comoros as a lightweight. We will give them the respect that they deserve, and will always take this game very serious,” Chilufya said. Chilufya said the boys did adjust to weather conditions and thanked the Football Association of Zambia for ensuring there was smooth preparations. “The boys did adjust to weather conditions; they are used except maybe for the coldness. U-17 Women National Team start preps for COSAFA

 Lucky Mwewa Chama | 23 September, 2020 Zambia Under-17 Women National team Coach Kangwa Kaluba says his technical bench has summoned 45 players to camp. The team which commenced preparations for the 2020 Cosafa tournament slated for South Africa next was taken through the paces by Coach Kaluba at Barca Academy. Kaluba said he has roped in half of the players from the 2019 inaugural Cosafa tournament while the other half comprised first timers. He noted that most of the players were not in good shape arising from the Covid-19 induced break from all football activities. “The majority of the players are not in good shape. We all know the reason, the league has not been active due to the Covid challenge.  We could see that the majority of our girls are struggling,” he said. “From the list we have, we have half the team from last year and the other team is new.
