Kansanshi Dynamos sign Marvin Jere from Lusaka Dynamos

 Solwezi based Super League side Kansanshi Dynamos has announced the signing of Marvin Jere from Lusaka Dynamos Football Club. Kansanshi Dynamos media has revealed that the attacking midfielder has penned down a 2 year contract with the Mabanga boys. Jere becomes Kansanshi Dynamos’ third signing in the January transfer window after the capturing of former Zesco United striker Jesse Jackson Were and former Zanaco striker Baba Basile. Kansanshi Dynamos are currently sitting in 13th position with 20 points after recording 5 wins, 5 draws and 8 defeats in the 2021/2022 Super League season.

Forest Rangers striker Quadri Kola hails Nigeria’s performance against Egypt

  Forest Rangers and Nigerian international, Quadri Kola says he was very happy with his countrymen's performance in Tuesday night's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group D game against Egypt. Speaking to the Club’s media, Kola believes the Super Eagles will go far in the competition if they continue with the same mentality and spirit they exhibited in their opening match against Egypt. Kola believes the Super Eagles of Nigeria are one of the favorites to win the Africa Cup of Nations which is currently underway in Cameroon. "Looking at how the Super Eagles played last night, I think if they continue playing like that with the same mentality and spirit throughout the tournament, they are already 80% on their way to winning the AFCON," Kola said. Nigeria started their AFCON campaign on a bright note following a 1-0 triumph over Egypt thanks to a Kelechi Iheanacho volley in the 30 th minute which was enough to sink the Pharaohs.

“Referees have been pathetic this season,” Zesco United coach

  ZESCO United head coach Numba Mumamba could not hide his disgust with the level of officiating which has continued to dominate the Zambian game. The gaffer has appealed to the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Referees Department to do introspection into the standard of refereeing in the country. In an interview after his side’s 3-nil defeat to Prison Leopards 3-0, Numba Mumamba urged the FAZ Referees manager and his people need to take a great look at how their officials are managing the games. Mumamba says the referees have been pathetic this season and suggests that there is need to do something so that the game of football is developed. “I think the FAZ Referees manager and his people need to take a great look at how their officials are managing the games.   Super League action returns this Wednesday as Kitwe United seek their first win of the season when they face Nkana at Arthur Davies in the Kitwe derby while Power Dynamos will play host to Indeni Football Club at the same venue in a double header. Forest Rangers extend dominance over Nkana to six matches

  Forest Rangers have extended their dominance over Nkana Football Club to six wins on the run with a 2-1 win over the defending champions this afternoon. In a match played at the Nkana stadium in Kitwe, Forest Rangers opened the scores through Yan Daily Echabe in the 14 th minute before Nkana forward Emmanuel Mwiinde restored parity for Nkana four minutes later. Newly signed Forest Rangers striker Thomas Chideu opened his goal scoring account for the Ndola based side in the 32 nd minute to give Fole the lead at the break. Both teams, continued to press forward in the second half with Fole Malembe holding on to the lead which has seen them break into the top four to sit in third position with 35 points while Nkana remain in 16 th position with 21 points from 19 League matches.

ZESCO United coach Numba Mumamba described Sunday’s victory over Zanaco Football Club as significant in the club’s title pursuit. In an interview with the club’s media, Mumamba said the game was difficult for his side in the first half because they gave Zanaco players a lot of room to play their game which resulted in the Ndola side conceding a goal. “ This is an important win on our part because we really needed this win so that we can open up a seven point lead at the top of the league.   Table toppers Zesco United will this weekend visit the capital city as they take on Green Buffaloes in a lunch time kickoff at the Sunset Stadium in Lusaka. Zega Mambo is coming from a 2-1 win over Zanaco Football Club while Green Buffaloes drew 2-2 against Nkana last Thursday. Zanaco will be looking for a response to their weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Zesco United as they host Lusaka Dynamos who thrashed them in the reverse fixture at the same venue. Mbola: "It's time for hard work and push Nkana where it belongs"

  Nkana's new signing Emmanuel Mbola says he is ready for the hard work ahead for the defending Super League champions who are in the relegation zone from 16 league matches. Mbola says he will work hard to ensure that Kalampa gets back to a comfortable position on the Super League table with the team only recording just 6 win, two draws and 10 defeats. "The holiday is over now and it's time for hard work and push the team to where it belongs. We have a big task ahead but it's possible to achieve," Mbola said. The former FC Porto left-back who has been training with Kitwe side for a while now since returning from DR Congo where he was with TP Mazembe, says he is happy to be part of the club’s rich history and that he is ready to work for positive results for Nkana. Power Dynamos goes third

  Power Dynamos moved into third position on the Super League after beating Napsa Stars 2-nil in a rescheduled Week 22 fixture played at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka. Two quick goals from Godfrey Ngwenya and Kennedy Musonda were enough for ‘Aba Yellow’ to leapfrog Forest Rangers and Lusaka Dynamos into third place on 34 points. The Pensioners recorded their 6 th defeat of the season and remain in 13 th position after their home defeat to the Perry Mutapa drilled side. Muhammad Fathi and his charges will now shift their attention to Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup match against Cotton Sport.

Napsa Stars Coach Fathi tests Positive for Covid-19

  NAPSA Stars FC head coach Mohamed Fathi has tested positive for COVID-19. Napsa FC Media Officer Gwen Chipasula said in a statement that this was after the team's routine COVID-19 tests which were conducted before the week 13 MTN/FAZ Super League game played against Red Arrows FC on Saturday. Ms. Chipasula revealed that the coach is currently in isolation at home and following health guidelines set by the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health. Coach Fathi missed Saturday's game and will also miss Wednesday's clash against Forest Rangers. The Club through its Technical Director/General Manager Honor Janza announced this development on Sunday morning. “We are sad to announce that our Head Coach has tested positive for COVID-19. We do our tests every 14 days but after the coach presented some symptoms, it led to the whole team doing another test earlier than usual,” Mr. Janza explained.
