Mbola: "It's time for hard work and push Nkana where it belongs"

 Nkana's new signing Emmanuel Mbola says he is ready for the hard work ahead for the defending Super League champions who are in the relegation zone from 16 league matches.

Mbola says he will work hard to ensure that Kalampa gets back to a comfortable position on the Super League table with the team only recording just 6 win, two draws and 10 defeats.


"The holiday is over now and it's time for hard work and push the team to where it belongs. We have a big task ahead but it's possible to achieve," Mbola said.

The former FC Porto left-back who has been training with Kitwe side for a while now since returning from DR Congo where he was with TP Mazembe, says he is happy to be part of the club’s rich history and that he is ready to work for positive results for Nkana.

In his early playing days, Mbola featured for Kitwe based sides Afrisports and Mining Rangers.

Mbola has also previously played for Pyunik Yerevan where he tasted UEFA Champions League football with the then Armenia champions in the 2009/2010 campaign.

Mbola then joined TP Mazembe and later moved to Portugal on a loan deal from the DR Congo giants where he featured for FC Porto between 2012 and 2013.

The exciting speedy left-back spent six seasons in Israel at Hapoel Ra'anana and later before joining another Israeli side Bnei Sakhnin.

He also has two AFCON outings under his belt, making his debut as the youngest player at the 2010 AFCON in Angola at the age of16 as Zambia reached their first quarterfinals since 1996 while his last AFCON outing was in 2013 in South Africa.

Meanwhile, Nkana will this afternoon take on Green Buffaloes at the Nkana Stadium in Kitwe with kickoff set for 15:00Hrs

PRISON LEOPARDS FOOTBALL CLUB UNVEILS REDESIGNED LOGO

Kabwe based National Division side Prison Leopards Football Club has announced that effected some changes on the Club's logo with immediate effect. According to statement, the Prisons Leopards Media Officer Kingsley Kunda says this is in a bid to align it to its main sponsors the Zambia Correctional Service and as a way of showing identity of the sponsors through the new emblem. The new changes include the replacement of the Leopard with an eagle in an effort to depict the image of both the club and the service and also to rebrand the logo to give it a new outlook.

FIFA lifts Nkana’s transfer ban
