Tripple M Stars and RM Soccer Academy emerge as Champions for the 2021 Ndola Open Tourney

 The "pride of Twapya' township as they call themselves, on Monday scooped the 2021 Ndola Youth League Open Tournament in the under 20 Category as they beat Young Indeni via a thrilling 13-12 penalty shoot out. This was after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time.



It was Tripple M Stars who scored first in the 32' through the flexible Akba Ahmed before Young Indeni equalised through a beautiful header by intelligent Kafula Kaisi Midway in the second half. Kafula Kaisi was the darling of the crowd and exhibited a man of the match performance.

Meanwhile Richard Kashiya of Tripple M scooped the top scorers award with 6 goals through out the tournament which began on 6th February, 2021.

In the under 15 category, it was the ever hardworking RM Soccer Academy who became victorious after beating the surprising package of the tournament Chifubu Hotspurs by 2 goals to nil. RM striker Chileshe Mwamba went out with a top scorers award with 5 goals in the well organized tournament as perceived by some stake holders.

Academy by 2 unanswered goals, While Tripple M Stars (Under 15) beat Young Chelsea by a goal to nil in a match played at 08:30 hours to grab the rights of the third best team in their category.
The successful Ndola Youth League Open Tournament was seen as a dress rehearsal for the on coming 2021 season League for both the under 20 and under 15 categories.

this league has a potential to reach greater heights.

Choma based Super League side Green Eagles has announced the signing Zambian striker Lineker Mwiikisa on an 18 months Contract. Green Eagles Media says Mwiikisa has joined the Zambia National Service outfit as a free agent after plying his trade at Club Ferroviario de Beira of Mozambique. The Kawale Boys have also announced that they have recalled goalkeeper Eric Mapulanga from his loan stint at Division 1 outfits ZNS Lwamfumu Football Club. MICHO CLOSE TO PICKING FINAL AFCON AND CHAN SQUADS

Zambia National Soccer Team coach Milutin Sredojevic says he is closer to having his final teams for the back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Botswana and also the African Nations Championship (CHAN). Micho, who is currently drilling 42 local players says his will trim the current number of players to 30 after this week’s assessment at Lusaka’s National Heroes Stadium. “We have overall 52 players, 10 of them are absent due to competitive duties and 42 are here, 36 in-field players and six goalkeepers. From this number of 52 we shall go down 24 field players and four goalkeepers that will start next Monday 9th March camp. That will culminate in the match against Malawi that we are playing on Wednesday,” he said.
