PRISON LEOPARDS FOOTBALL CLUB UNVEILS REDESIGNED LOGO

Kabwe based National Division side Prison Leopards Football Club has announced that effected some changes on the Club's logo with immediate effect. According to statement, the Prisons Leopards Media Officer Kingsley Kunda says this is in a bid to align it to its main sponsors the Zambia Correctional Service and as a way of showing identity of the sponsors through the new emblem. The new changes include the replacement of the Leopard with an eagle in an effort to depict the image of both the club and the service and also to rebrand the logo to give it a new outlook.

TP MAZEMBE CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF THE CONGOLESE TOP FLIGHT LEAGUE AS SEASON IS CUT SHORT

Zambian internationals Rainford Kalaba, Kabaso Chongo and Tandi Mwape were crowned champions of DR Congo with TP Mazembe for the second consecutive season and the club record-extending 18th time on Wednesday after the football season was cancelled in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. The title is Kalaba's 7th in nines years at the club, Chongo's fourth since 2014, while Tandi's first having joined the Lu bumbashi based side last year. Local media said the Congolese Football Association had decided to cut the season short, with AS Vita Club also confirmed as runners-up to join Mazembe in next season's African Champions League. With seven rounds left to play, Mazembe top the table 53 points, five ahead of Vita Club who played three games more. MWAPE MITI CONSIDERS TAKING UP COACHING CAREER

FORMER Chipolopolo and Power Dynamos striker Mwape Miti whose football career was halted by a persistent knee injury 15 years ago says he is now considering taking up coaching. Miti scored 109 goals for Odense BoldKlub of Denmark in 246 appearances between 1997 and 2006. “A knee injury made me stop playing football. But I don’t regret that I retired because of injury. I just thank God, am sure it was the only way for me to retire. I have no regrets,” Miti told  # Kalemba  from his residence in Riverside, Kitwe. “I know people have been asking about me. I will start coaching soon. I can’t just live like this without sharing my knowledge and experience in football,” he said. He was joint top scorer in the Danish top league with 19 goals in the 2003/04 season. Miti featured at the Africa Cup in 1996 and 2000 besides representing Chipolopolo 33 times.
