Former FC Porto left-back joins Nkana

 Super League defending champions Nkana Football Club have announced the signing of former TP Mazembe left-back Emmanuel Mbola.

The former FC Porto attack minded left back joins Nkana after a short-lived second stint with the Lubumbashi giants TP Mazembe where he had restricted game time at the club.

Mbola was a regular member of the Chipolopolo between 2009 and 2016 but came to prominence when he played at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola as a 16-year-old and attracted interest from top English sides including Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs with his intelligent and blistering quick runs.

PRISON LEOPARDS FOOTBALL CLUB UNVEILS REDESIGNED LOGO

Kabwe based National Division side Prison Leopards Football Club has announced that effected some changes on the Club's logo with immediate effect. According to statement, the Prisons Leopards Media Officer Kingsley Kunda says this is in a bid to align it to its main sponsors the Zambia Correctional Service and as a way of showing identity of the sponsors through the new emblem. The new changes include the replacement of the Leopard with an eagle in an effort to depict the image of both the club and the service and also to rebrand the logo to give it a new outlook.

MICHO CLOSE TO PICKING FINAL AFCON AND CHAN SQUADS

Zambia National Soccer Team coach Milutin Sredojevic says he is closer to having his final teams for the back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Botswana and also the African Nations Championship (CHAN). Micho, who is currently drilling 42 local players says his will trim the current number of players to 30 after this week’s assessment at Lusaka’s National Heroes Stadium. “We have overall 52 players, 10 of them are absent due to competitive duties and 42 are here, 36 in-field players and six goalkeepers.
