CHIPOLOPOLO COACH SUMMONS 67 LOCAL PLAYERS FOR ASSESSMENT CAMP SLATED FOR LUSAKA


Chipolopolo coach Milutin Sredojevic has summoned 67 local players for the second phase of his assessment program that started with the Copperbelt last week.

Micho has summoned players from the provinces not covered in the first session and will get down to work in Lusaka on February 18 with players from Southern, Western, Eastern and Northern provinces all included.

Micho is assessing local players to be included in the back-to-back clashes against Botswana next month and the April 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

The selected players have been halved into Super League and National Division One with each stream having own drills.

Micho is expected to select 30 from each stream in the first phase before trimming the squad further.

The Lusaka camp will run for three days.

According to statement, the Prisons Leopards Media Officer Kingsley Kunda says this is in a bid to align it to its main sponsors the Zambia Correctional Service and as a way of showing identity of the sponsors through the new emblem. Dan Kabwe expresses concerns over Silver Strikers goal conversion rate

Reacting to Sunday’s 2-1 win over Mighty Wanderers, Kabwe says the Bankers are good to go after collecting three points following a loss to Blue Eagles in their previous encounter. Kabwe described Sunday’s match as tactical game but was pleased that the team managed to prevail. He said: “We are coming from a loss and the one today was a very tactical game, but we prevailed. GREEN EAGLES ANNOUNCE THE SIGNING OF STRIKER LINEKER MWIIKISA ON AN 18 MONTHS DEAL

Choma based Super League side Green Eagles has announced the signing Zambian striker Lineker Mwiikisa on an 18 months Contract. Green Eagles Media says Mwiikisa has joined the Zambia National Service outfit as a free agent after plying his trade at Club Ferroviario de Beira of Mozambique. The Kawale Boys have also announced that they have recalled goalkeeper Eric Mapulanga from his loan stint at Division 1 outfits ZNS Lwamfumu Football Club. Green Eagles are currently top of the Zambian Super League on 40 points from 20 League matches.
