WEDSON NYIRENDA DONATES SOCCER BALLS AND MARKERS TO NDOLA UNITED

THE Ndola City Council has thanked Coach Wedson Nyirenda for his visit and humble donation to the “people’s team” Ndola United Football Club.

Speaking during his visit, Coach Wedson Nyirenda bemoaned the fact that Ndola United Football Club was still not plying it’s trade in the Super League, a club that he termed as a mother of all football teams in Ndola.

“I have been deeply touched for the past years; if you look at Ndola and Zambian football, you can not disassociate Ndola and Ndola United FC, Zambian football historically ticks because of Ndola," he observed.

Coach Wedson however, encouraged the players to not relent.

He asked players to take the bull by it’s horns and "take the team where it belongs in the Super League."

He appealed to the players to help redeem the glory of Ndola United Football club.

Wedson Nyirenda who called his visit to Ndola United Football Club a fact finding mission donated soccer balls and markers to be used by the team during training sessions.

He also pledged his support in future whenever possible.

Moving a vote of thanks upon receipt of the donated items, Councillor Kennedy Phiri praised the coach for the visit.

“Your presence here means so much more than even the donation that we have received today; I also wish to state that the donation will go a long way in our quest for promotion to the Super League,” said Councillor Phiri.

Also present was the technical bench and management of Ndola United Football Club flanked by team Coach Nchimunya Mweetwa.
